Stable RealVGA for Samsung i780

June 30, 2009

Hi, and thanks for visiting again ūüôā

I just got a new phone yesterday, a brand new Samsung I780 PDA. Comes with most modern functionalities that you could find in today’s gadget such as 3G, HSDPA, WiFi,¬†Bluetooth, a 2MP Camera (don’t expect much!), QWERTY keyboard (I just love this), a 4GB microSD card, and of course, GPS. Best of all, it comes with a light price tag of RM950 and overall a quite feature packed pda with a budget price (go google if you don’t believe me).

The Samsung i780

As I would normally do with all my new phones – It’s time¬†for some serious modification. And to start off, here’s the famous RealVGA patch that works well with the Samsung I780.

Save yourself!

June 29, 2009

Your legs are tight and suspended on a tree. There’s a hungry lion that’s ready to devour you once the candle burned the rope… Of course,¬† you still got your handphone to make that emergency call.. but of course, the candle will snap the rope before the first person come to your rescue…

I am hungry - says the lion

Any idea how you would escape? Think before you click!

Michael Jackson died at 50

June 26, 2009

First of all, thank Allah that he died AFTER he joined Islam.

“Remember the time…” – And yes I still remember when I was small, mu mom bought me a Michael Jackson¬†album on cassette. I would then play it out loud and dance to it inside my room. When I was still a kid that is…

Heard from the radio today whilst driving to work that Michael Jackson is dead. Reports on the internet said he was healthy and was actually preparing for his next concert, and all of a sudden had a heart attack. But then who would expect or knows (except for God / Allah the Mighthy) that his time is up.

inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raajiunfrom Him we come and to Him we shall return“.

Goodbye Mikaeel.

Read more here¬†: Sky News / ABC¬†/ or Google up! It seems that a lot of websites was down due to excessive search for MJ news all over the Internet. In fact, Tweeter disabled their search engine as the loads were just too huge for their puny server to handle…

Swine Flu~

June 25, 2009

Ok let’s face it, the whole world is scared now that this plague is running around. And do you actually know that we have 0% resistance to this disease? I must respect NZ government for actually doing something to prevent this by purchasing a large dosage of vaccine (Tamiflu) as an act of precaution.

I think all other countries should do something about it and not just isolating those who are already infected and controlling those who are suspected or had contaminated with the virus not to enter the country or immediately sent for hospitalization.

As those will not likely to happen soon, I recommend you to read further and understand more about Swine Flu and some of it’s preventive measures.

Turn any photos into a HDR!

June 25, 2009

The latest trend in photographing is HDR which stands for High Dynamic Range. You can view the wiki here if you want to know more about it. And I was totally blown away when i saw my first HDR photo – and was wondering how I could make one out?

I stumbled across Redynamix which is a plugin for Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro that enable normal single 8bits images to be converted into HDR with just a few simple clicks.

after RedynaMix’xed…

World’s largest USB flash drive

June 25, 2009

How technology had grown – I still remember when I had a 128MB USB Flash Drive. It wasn’t much, but enough to keep me running without floopies.

I heard of 16GB USB Flash Drives, and how the price had dropped – but with the demands in these niche devices, Kingston had managed to raise the storage capacity even further. We are not looking at 32GB or 64GB, but a whooping 128GB storage device! Will this be the end of portable hard disks?

Numlock on startup

June 24, 2009

I had a customer who wanted his Numlock key to be turned on every time his computer starts. Now, there are several way to achieve this, and the most popular one is enabling this functionality in BIOS itself.

Of course, some companies limit the access by registering a password to access BIOS, so there is no way that the user can access it unless an onsite technician comes over and set it up for them.

Here’s a way to do it yourself – the easy way.

Too many dividers / sections on taskbar

June 24, 2009

I ran through this problem today where there is an additional dividers / section on my taskbar.

Usually to get rid of this, I just reboot / restart my computer, but as I was in the middle of something important, I just can’t risk to turn it off nor have the time to wait for this to happen.

So here’s an easy way to resolve it.

Old school MMORPG ‘Outside’

June 22, 2009

Anyone tried it before?

Well searching, I found this awesome F2P mmorpg game. Basically you take the role of a normal civilian, whose story and life depends on the actions you choose.
